Brief introduction and description of the programme

Are you a new or aspiring leader in Primary Care? Do you need help in unlocking your potential as a leader? Would you like support in learning different leadership styles and gaining insights into your own leadership behaviours? If so, our Embrace Leadership Learning Lounge is the mechanism to help you and your peers reach your leadership potential.

Who’s it for?

18 primary care colleagues (any role) new, relatively new, or aspiring leaders across the South West.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn the key leadership theories, styles and behaviours that are relevant in the workplace, including system leadership, collective leadership and compassionate and inclusive leadership and how best to apply knowledge in a practical way in the workplace. Participants will be encouraged to consider how to unlock their own leadership potential alongside that of their colleagues.

Each of the four programme sessions will offer participants the opportunity to reflect and contribute to the learning and development dynamics of the interactive sessions. Programme participants will be asked to complete two web-based behavioural self-assessments for their profile reports to be explored during session 1 and session 2.

All participants should participate in all four sessions in either cohort 1 or cohort 2, to help build their individual learning, development and connect with their new leadership network.
