Session Overview (max 200 words) | a) Career Planning This workshop contains a mixture of discussion, theory, demonstration, exploration and practical application. Topics in this session include: – Understanding your preferences around planned or emergent career progression – A perspective on my potential: Emotional Intelligence, Foresight, Growth, Adaptability – Designing your Executive Director Career ‘Runway’ – Identifying your ‘launch point’: What are the right roles for me? – Developing my career plan – Commitment to action b) Transition to Executive This workshop contains a mixture of discussion, guest speaker, exploration and practical application. Topics in this session include: – The role of an Executive Director on a Board and Executive Director Competencies – Moving from functional expert to corporate Director Lived Experience – Exec Director – the reality – Reflecting on my personal journey so far towards an Executive Director role – Personal action plan |
