Welcome Sophie Norman!

Hi I’m Sophie,

I have recently seconded from the Recruitment Team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, where I carried out the administration of the end to end Recruitment process for the past 4 ½ years.

One of the last projects I was involved with, was heading up the recruitment for a cohort of Trainee Clinical Psychologists, ensuring the interns from a variety of University’s across the South West were compliant with their pre-employment checks, ahead of starting the programme. I really enjoyed this project, and it made me realise that I would love to continue working within a similar administrative capacity.

I’ve also carried out a 2 year HR Apprenticeship previous to this, so I know first hand what a great opportunity trainee programmes are within a work environment and I really wanted the opportunity to support others in a similar role.

Enter…the GMTS Leadership Development Administrator secondment opportunity, which I was lucky enough to be offered!

A little bit about me, myself and I, I live in Taunton with my Husband, my 3 year old son and our recent addition to the family, Millie the cockapoo puppy. As you can imagine I don’t have much spare time, but when the rare occasion arises, you can find me chilling out in a spa, having a meal/drinks with friends or catching the latest film at the cinema.

I am really looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the Graduate Management Training Scheme and be a part of helping others in their journey with the NHS.
