Supporting You

Following the success of our previous award-winning winter support package and our continued efforts to support health and wellbeing during the multiple pressures of winter. We would like to share some programmes that we hope, helps provide balanced and meaningful ways to connect, share and learn.

We recognise the importance of wellbeing, compassion and inclusion and have brought together a number of interactive workshops, masterclasses and coaching opportunities to help provide space for reflection, time for connection and sharing of experiences that can help lift, sustain and retain energy.

As we continue to experience increasing demands on our time, attention, energy and capacity may become detrimental to health and well-being, we are sharing again our current portfolio of opportunities with additional resources that have been designed to respond to the pressures of winter. The offers in the Supporting You Package will be delivered in bitesize sessions of between 60-90 minutes. Below you will be able to find out a little on what is on offer. They have been designed so that they can be stand-alone giving you the flexibility to attend the sessions you wish to.

Supporting You Offers

Bitesize Wellbeing WorkshopIt’s become clichéd to say that these are challenging times. Everyone knows that many people are more stressed, anxious, worried, and exhausted than usual. It is entirely reasonable to feel these things, given what’s going on. While some degree of worry is understandably widespread, more severe mental ill health is being experienced by some groups.  Experiences will of course vary from person to person – It’s important to acknowledge that staff and teams may be going through a wide range of responses.

These sessions are designed to enable individual reflection and exploration of the latest developments in neuroscience, positive psychology and resilience to help leaders enhance their own well-being, feel less pressured and facilitate resilience and well-being in their teams.

Leading with Hope – This programme is designed to help leaders be able to foster hope for themselves and within their practice to support colleagues to maintain their health, well-being and continue to persevere with the valuable work they do.

Outward Mindset – The number one challenge of NHS and other care organisations is employee resilience. Burn out, sick leave or people leaving the sector creates massive problems for an already stretched service. One overlooked solution is ‘Interpersonal resilience’. This is the resilience we gain from the quality of our work relationships and our levels of civility in the way we interact with others.  Every manager and employee can play their part by adopting an Outward Mindset that drives respectful relationship building behaviour.

This 60 minute masterclass will describe what interpersonal resilience is and why it’s crucial to surviving such difficult times, understand the difference between Inward and Outward Mindset and provide tools and ideas on how we can play our part in creating resilient teams and culture.

Power of Compassion for Inclusion – It has long been known that human beings are social creatures, and we have an innate capacity to care. To care about the most vulnerable and those in need. It is also understandable that in these extraordinary times our personal reservoirs of compassion have become depleted and the need to renew and replenish ourselves has never been more important.

We also know that as people and organisations build their capacity for compassion, they are more attentive to the needs of marginalised and excluded people. They become more inclusive. More engaged. More responsive to the needs of those who experience daily indignities, and whose wellbeing is quietly depleted. Compassion has the power to build our support for others, as well as own resilience.

These 90 minute workshops interactive workshops offers those attending a chance to explore and learn about everyday ways to bring compassionate practice to life with the option of spending time with peers to deepen their understanding of ways to apply in their work.

Art of Being Brilliant – In a nutshell Being Brilliant is about being the best version of ourselves, something we all know how to do brilliantly. But work, pandemics, the cost of living and life in general can get in the way sometimes. This session aims to do two things, to remind you of how awesome you are and give you some simple tips that will help you form the habits that will help that best version of you be present more often.

Rising Stronger – From mental health to mental wealth

Rising Stronger is a fast paced, entertaining and light-hearted session on a very serious subject; YOU and your personal wellbeing. It is solidly based in the science of positive psychology with all the big words taken out and replaced with simple to understand and easy to action content.

We are supporting the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing Podcast – a free weekly show hosted by Dr. Andrew Tresidder and Dr. Peter Bagshaw. In each episode, the doctors discuss a different topic related to mental health and emotional wellbeing and often invite expert guests to join them in conversation.

Additionally, through a series of three podcasts, we aim to provide some thoughts, ideas and strategies to help you make sense of your experience over recent months and move through the next phase of response.

Coaching Register

Coaching is one of the key approaches through which leadership within organisations can be developed. Coaching is a method of developing an individual’s capabilities in order to facilitate the achievement of organisational success. Coaching is series of purposeful conversations that unlock a person’s potential to maximise their own performance.  It helps individuals learn and grow through a collaborative, solution focused, result-orientated process.

Mentoring Register

Mentoring is a developmental relationship in which one person (the Mentor) – usually someone more knowledgeable (though ‘peer’ mentoring can be as successful) helps another (the Mentee) to discover more about themselves, and develop their potential capability.

This is achieved through a professional friendship designed to support career progression, widen an individual’s networks, develop leadership capability and improve performance.
